A Poem for Madeleine
When the Tooth Fairy heard you lost a tooth
do you know what she did?
She made a map to visit you'
cause you're a special kid
First she got your home address
and checked her fairy map
Then she flew to your place
where she saw your brand new "gap"
Of course she took your worn out tooth
just like she's always done
but she's left you something nice instead
to help you have some fun
Congratulations to Madeleine who lost her first tooth today!
I should've known when she asked for an apple that the evening might turn out like this. Her tooth has been loose for a couple of weeks and I knew an apple would do her in. Sure enough, the phone rang, I turned my attention away for five minutes and then....blood curdling screams....."I swallowed it and now it's going to come out in my poop!"
We will be writing a special not to the tooth fairy tonight who can magically retrieve teeth, even if we swallow them. The tooth fairy will come in the night and count Madeleine's teeth and when she notices one is missing, she'll work her magic. I feel like it was just yesterday we were so excited about her getting teeth. How did she get to be this big?

Christmas Toys....
So the girls are already bored of their new toys, but Jason is not. Santa Claus brought him a much-needed, new video camera for Christmas and has played with it non-stop since receiving it.
Last night Jason's brother Jeff and his girlfriend Kristina came for a visit and Jason and Jeff decided to film their first short, "New Year, Bad Luck". I'm sure this is worthy of entry into the Sundance Film Festival this year, but you be the judge. Hope you enjoy...

Making and Eating a Gingerbread House
My mom came over to help the girls make a gingerbread house and I think there was a lot more tasting than there was constructing. Here are a couple of pictures of them icing the roof and one of Lily looking rather impatient while waiting her turn for gumdrop placement. What a fun day for the girls!
